Wrinkles Got You Down? Botox Vs. Dysport

What’s the difference between Botox and Dysport? What do you need to know if you’re considering either of these options to tackle your aging concerns? Colair Beauty Lounge & Med Spa is here to educate you on two awesome choices.

There’s no easy way to say it, but the fine lines and creases we develop as we age are only going to become more noticeable. It’s a fact. They’re there and not going away anytime soon. Sure, you try to act like they don’t bother you, but spending more time staring at them in the mirror isn’t the solution. Look, if you really want to erase them, why not try a temporary solution and see if you like the results. That’s where Botox and Dysport come in. They aren’t life-changing, but they can help you love what you see in the mirror once again.

These injected formulas allow you to turn back the clock if even for a couple months to see if this is something you want to keep using. There’s nothing that says you need to continue, but why not reward yourself and give it a try.

Okay, so, what do you need to know when it comes to Botox and Dysport, and which should you try?

Both of these products use the same type of ingredient and are injectables. They are often used for muscle spasms to treat medical issues, but they’ve been found to help with the aging process and wrinkles as well. Bonus!

Now, within these two different branded products are proteins. The comparison between them have to do with the specific proteins and how many of them there are in the formulas. Another thing to consider is that while Dysport may show you results sooner than Botox, it doesn’t last quite as long as Botox does.

While these are not fillers to help change the shape of the lines on your face, what they do is smooth the muscle beneath the skin, which gives it a more uniform appearance. This causes the wrinkles to appear smoother, and less noticeable.

Dysport is used for the lines and wrinkles that form between your eyebrows. It is only approved to be used in this area. Botox however can be used in the same location, plus tackle your crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles.

Another thing to note is the Botox may take longer to see the results, up to a month’s time, though the results last up to six months. Dysport will show results within a week’s time in some cases, but only lasts 3-4 months. If you’re looking for a quicker fix, Dysport might be a good option when this area bothers you. Otherwise, Botox can treat multiple areas and lasts longer. Seems like a win, but only you can truly decide.
