Under eye fillers usually last patients anywhere from six to nine months, depending on the type of treatment they receive. Patients will consult with Colair’s registered nurse to ensure they get exactly what they want and that they leave the med spa happy the first time around.
Make sure to talk about all of the vitamins, medications and supplements you’re currently taking with Colair’s registered nurse before undergoing your filler treatment, especially blood-thinning agents. We recommend avoiding caffeine, alcohol, aspirin, and fish oil supplements for a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment to lessen your chance of Bruising. Also, you may come with or without makeup, as the treatment area will be cleaned prior to injection.
Before beginning the procedure, you will have the chance to speak with our RN so we can get a full understanding of what you want the first time through. A large majority of the time, we will treat the cheek area first to support injections made to the under eye area. We’ll let you know if this is something you’ll need to do. The procedure itself will take less than an hour, with the majority of it going towards the consultation and pre-treatment.
Results are immediate with Hyaluronic Acid fillers, and you will notice an immediate improvement with PRP Injections, but results will continue to develop over time as collagen builds within the body. You will be able to return to your normal routine immediately, although some swelling is to be expected and may last multiple days. While we do our best to minimize bruising by using a blunt-tip cannula, Bruising is likely as the undereye is a delicate area. Hold off on exercise or any strenuous activity for the rest of the day, and avoid swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or other activities that could cause irritation to the injection sites or risk infection. Avoid excessive touching of your face. Avoid Facials or other treatments that apply pressure to the face for 14 days after your Filler treatment.
