FAQs About Under Eye Fillers

Under-eye filler procedures are one of the top non-invasive cosmetic treatments. The best under eye fillers help fill out fine lines and give a more youthful appearance. If you feel like your face needs a little rejuvenation, under eye dermal filler is a great choice!

Anyone can benefit from a soft tissue filler, including men! Fillers are an alternative to surgery and give you a refreshed, updated look. The Colair Beauty Lounge & Med Spa in Gilbert, AZ specializes in fillers and procedures to help you look your best.

Our guide leads you through five expectations and tips on the procedure, including what under eye filler recovery is like.

Best Under Eye Fillers

The most common type of under eye filler uses Hyaluronic acid. Restylane is one of the collagen-stimulating fillers you may have heard of. It is clear and gives a smoother, fuller appearance. While this type of filler is the most natural looking, it may not last as long as its counterparts.

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxylapatite synthetic filler that stimulates collagen production. It works with your body’s natural tissue to give a more plump appearance.

Our practitioners at Colair Beauty Lounge & Med Spa can help you decide what filler is best for you.

1. What Is the Procedure Like?

If it’s your first time, you can expect your appointment to last upwards of thirty minutes. One of the registered nurses at Colair will perform your filler procedure. They will talk to you about what your goals are and what to expect during the treatment.

The practitioner will apply a small amount of numbing cream to the area. Once you are numb, a sterile needle with the filler will be injected into the soft tissue. Depending on how much filler you need, you may have a few needle insertions for maximum effect.

Your appointments going forward could take as little as five minutes!

2. What Does This Procedure Treat?

Under eye fillers are intended to treat sallow, loose skin. They also brighten dark circles under the eye. Under eye treatments help you feel more vibrant and look more awake.

3. How Can I Prepare for My Appointment?

A few days before your appointment, avoid any harsh chemicals on your face. Pause the use of any acidic skincare products or anti-aging treatments.

Stop the use of any blood thinning OTC products like aspirin to help minimize bruising. Support your skin from within by drinking plenty of water.

Show up ready for your appointment with a clean, makeup-free face. Save any celebratory bubbly for your new skin after your appointment!

4. How Long is the Recovery Time?

There is little to no recovery time after a filler appointment. You may experience some slight swelling and bruising. But, this usually only lasts a couple of days.

5. What is the After-Care Procedure Like?

Because of the minimal downtime and non-invasiveness of the procedure, after-care is simple. Skip any strenuous activities. Try to sleep on your back for the first 24 hours after your appointment.

If it’s your first time getting filler, your practitioner may give you a few dos and don’ts. This helps you get the most out of your appointment.
